Would recommend this to others. The recorders arrived in a few days and worked fine- no problems.
TERRIBLE product.I will probably throw it in the trash.plastic constructionis very cheap and the sound is not audible.total junk.
It has been so unreliable that I've gone back to a tape recorder. etc. I purchased this recorder for business use and it has been an absolute nightmare. It constantly malfunctions - losing files, indicating that battery levels are low when new batteries have been inserted, failing to turn on, etc.

I purchased a small external microphone and cord that when plugged into the WS100 and the microphone placed inside your ear can easily record telephone calls. I did quite a bit of research on digital voice recorders before purchasing the Olympus WS100. For the money this is a great digital recorder. I have purchased several of these for others I work with and there have been no problems. The recorder is easy to use and I like that it can be pulled apart and plugged directly into any computer to dowload the recorded files. The clarity and sound in playback is excellent.
